About NNBY

NNBY: It’s a youth organization, started by youth and belonging to youth. It is a network of young people who connect with each other in meaningful and creative ways. Through networking ones own available resources, it’s members support each other and the society around. It is based on the principle of mutual giving. Most of the people involved in this network are coming from the deprived communities who are in great need of intellectual and material resources.


It is a ‘Network’ because it is a net of youth connected to each other through their groups. They take initiative and organize their own activities. They are autonomous and independent.


It is a network of ‘Buddhist’ youth because the youth involved find “Buddhist” as an identity that unites them beyond all caste identities. We call Buddhist to all those who left the caste identity behind and engaged themselves in transforming oneself and the world following the Buddha’s path as taught by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.


Past nine years we have conducted activities all over India with more than 20000 youth participating and developing their innate potential. To accomplish our Vision, we offer residential and non residential training modules from few hours to 2/3 days length. Through our leadership trainings we train youth to mobilize resources and to be resource person him / herself. Our training are designed according to the needs of youth in specific areas and backgrounds.


A need for such Organization

There are many organizations working for youth in India. Most of them are not run by youth and doesn’t have an openness that youth can create there own structure and take initiative according to their own needs and creativity.

Youth today has very pressing and demanding circumstances, their need for peer support and understanding is not taken care of most of the contemporary organizations.

Large number of youth after getting very high quality and highly professional skills in their early twenties, they start earning huge sums of money and find themselves lost in the consumer and hedonistic world before knowing what they are doing with their lives they get trapped in vicious circles of fun and enjoyments and damage their lives irreparably. For such youth, moral and realistic view of life is a very deep and urgent need which is not addressed in educational systems as well as government or social institutions in India. Therefore, there is an urgent need of the moral education and better understanding of human life taught in new and appropriate ways for the youth.

There is a need of support, guidance and availability of resources for the youth who can not get it easily. Most of the available trainings are not affordable for the youth from marginalized communities. Our network is committed to make intellectual and material resources available with no or minimum costs.



The basic philosophy behind it

Human life has a much higher purpose than what we normally think of. This higher purpose can be introduced while we are still young so that we feel satisfaction towards the end of lives, that we lived our lives for meaning and purpose.

This highest ideal of human life is exemplified by the Buddha. Buddha’s teaching shows us the way to live our life meaningfully. It helps us to break out of our own selfish shells and make it vast and beneficial to all.

In short the concept of personality development which is used quite a lot in India these days can be shaped by Buddha’s teachings as explored by Dr.B.R.Ambedkar. His vision of human life and the perfect human society based on liberty, equality and fraternity are the essence of Buddha’s teaching applied in today’s world. Buddha and Dr.B.R.Ambedkar are our ideals and we would like to follow these ideals for oneself and for the benefit of the whole world. By following them we are aspiring to make this world better place for peaceful living and growth.


Our Goals

Our goal is to help youth to gain the confidence that they are the best resources to cultivate their lives. A confidence that it is fully in their hands to achieve what they want to achieve. Our aim is to create conditions and structures that would give them direct experience and confidence of such kind.

We also want to promote the value of making the resources of all sorts freely available for each other. This would help them understand that "a gift of human talent to others is a gift to oneself". We become sharper and wiser by sharing it. Teaching others also test your ability and knowledge which is very crucial for development and self confidence. We are committed to provide such platforms for youth.

The training of morality in life is very important. We are committed to provide this training. We are committed to create conditions for the youth of India so that they are safe from destroying their own lives through violence, burocratic corruptions, sexual abuses, drugs and intoxicants.

Through this network we are committed to give them a training and experience of leadership.
